State Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad oblast – is a pursuant of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Taurida orchestra and choir. The artistic journey of collective started in Tavricheskiy Palace where the story of symphonic music in Russia was arisen.

From the first projects the collective directed by Michael Golikovs has gained recognition by the industries’ professionals and viewer-ships. Main goal of the State Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad oblast – is the promotion of the musical heritage of Russia and the world.

For the nine years of intensive work The Orchestra was performing at the main stages of the city and the nation with famous soloists, leading an active touring work in Russia and abroad, producing 150 concerts annually. The Orchestra appears in big concert hall in Russia, China, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, Spain, France, Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina and more.

Orchestra has performed at such prestigious international venues as Théâtre du Châtelet and Saint Germain des Pres Church in Paris, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Kurhaus Baden-Baden, Volkstheater Rostock, Goetheanum Dornach, Stadtkirche Thun, Beijing National Stadium and others.

The Orchestra has been accompanied by: Michel Jean Legrand, Edvin Marton, Mondelci Federico, Elena Obrazcova, Zurab Sotkilava, Liu Huan, group Legends of Phoenix, Vasiliy Gerello, Irina Bogacheva, Igor Butman, Francis Goya, Juan de la Rubia, Alessandro Safína, Lubov Kazarnovskaya, Hiroko Inoue, Polina Osetinskaya, Ekaterina Mechetina and many others.

In the repertoire of the Orchestra symphonic music, choral genre, easy listening and popular classical music, film score, symphony jazz programs, ballet and opera, operetta. The Orchestra is a frequent participant of open-air events, which contain opera hits, popular classical music and film scores.

The Orchestra consists of bright virtuoso musicians from different countries: the United States, Spain, Finland, Costa Rica, Mongolia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, most of whom are studying or graduated from The N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory. All of them are laureates of national and international competitions. Middle age of musicians is 23-24 years old, this is the youngest professional orchestra in Russia.

Moreover the State Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad oblast, which is a creative union, is organizing the concerts, charity events and social event, actively taking part in creating and conducting cultural projects and charity events.
